Photophobia
Explore the abandoned city of Kriladam as you hide from the streetlights, as the city's electrical network itself is bent on killing you. Search the abandoned houses for a way to the network's mainframe as you slowly uncover the truth of the tragedy that struck the city years ago, with people turning up missing or dead every single day. Solve puzzles caused by the disrepair of the city and dodge the light as you try to destroy the machine.
This short (20 min.) horror game was made as part of the 4th RPG maker horror game jam hosted by Beregon. This is not only my first game jam game, it's also my first RPG maker game inspired by the likesof The Witch's House, Ib and Mad Father. II hope you enjoy it!

Hello ! I tried Photophobia on my channel ! It was such a nostalgia wave for me, having played (and watched) all the big classics in the past, haha. It's was pretty cool that there was a casual mode, I wasn't expecting that in a beta, but it's a nice touch. I really like the puzzle for the code, it was a fun one.
Thank you for playing it! Yes, I took a lot of inspiration from those games. Casual mode was implemented because all of my playtesters were complaining, haha. Also it's not actually a beta, it's release... Silly me forgot to remove that.

I like the puzzles in it but when I'm in the chasm, I almost gave up lol - in the hallway (the one with three light bulbs). I thought it's impossible but I guess I was just slow and couldn't get the timing right. XD
I did trial and error in the opening-of-the-box part - I needed paper and pen! XDD Nice job on the puzzles but it might trigger some people with super short patience. :3
